Walking on the beach every morning with the dogs, we are the 2 little figures on that beach!

a handprinted aquatint etching; I ink up the copperplate for each print pulled, this means that each print will have small differences to the next. I hope you treasure this as a sign of individuality and part of what makes an original print an original. I use first class papers and ink to give my work the best possible longevity.
Aquatint is a technique where deep tones can be achieved on an etching, it involves rosin, that gets melted onto the copperplate with the help of a burner.

This etching is printed in an edition of only 40 prints,
please be aware that I can't guarantee that you get the number on the photo......
Each print is numbered, titled and signed by me.

I have printed on a piece of warm white heavy printmaking paper, perfect for the image,
the paper measures 8"x 10" (21 x 25cm A4 )
and the actual image measures 6" x 5" (12cm x 16 cm)

I'll mail your etching in a padded envelope, the print is placed offers on a piece of backing, wrapped in cellophane and comes with a nice "Original Print by Mariann Johansen-Ellis" sticker and a leaflet explaining what an etching is. If you are giving the etching away as a gift, let me know and I'll wrap it in a nice piece of paper for you!
