offers A lovely vintage Large Portmeirion Pomona Apple Trophy Low Serving Bowl, Salad Bowl, Pasta Bowl, Fruit Bowl or Dish decorated in the centre with three apple varieties together with their names - The Red Ingestrie Apple, The White Astracam Apple and the Scarlet Permain Apple. The bowl is so large that the apple illustrations are life size. A repeating acanthus leaf design runs around the inside rim.
It is rare to find a Portmeirion Pomona low pasta bowl in this fabulous pristine condition. Will make a lovely centrepiece.
The vintage Portmeirion bowl is 8 cm (3 ¼ in) high and has a 33 cm (13 in) in diameter. It is a heavy item and weighs 1870 g (4 lb 2 oz).
The Portmeirion Pomona Apple Variety bowl is in excellent vintage condition with no cracks, chips or crazing. Has a small glitch in the glaze made at time of manufacture on the green apple. The bowl has been well looked after and is a pre loved item. Please view photos.
The vintage Pomona Apple large Shallow serving bowl is back stamped with the green oval Portmeirion back stamp. Says “Portmeirion Pomona by Susan Williams-Ellis, Oven to Table, Dishwasher, Microwave and Freezer Safe, Made in Britain”.
A great find for a collector of vintage Portmeirion Pomona items or someone after a statement large bowl – would look fabulous piled with colourful fruit in a country kitchen.
The Pomona Portmeirion range pottery was designed by Susan Williams-Ellis and features beautifully illustrated fruit such as Peaches, Plums, Cherries, Red Currants, Pears, as well as the featured Apple varieties in this gorgeous white stoneware dish. The Pomona range was launched in 1982 and has won many fans around the world. It is named after Pomona, the Goddess of Fruit and inspired by the “The Pomona Britannica” 1818.
