Product code: Offers Vintage Otagiri Rodeo Teapot Designed by Debra Meyer

Designer Debra Meyer created her famous rodeo tea set in the 1950s for Otagiri Japan by merging western concept with Japanese craft. The teapot has everything a cowpoke wants in western decoration: a rodeo rider on a bucking bronco, horseshoes, incised brands, cacti, arrows, a saddle and a ceramic lasso rope on the handle, lid and back side. The ceramic teapot is 8 inches long from spout to handle, 4 inches wide and 7 inches deep. It weighs 1 pound, 8.3 ounces. The teapot is four-sided, but wide at the base and narrow at the opening. The color is sandy beige with brownish accents, but the rodeo scene on the front uses green, gold and blue to accent the relief rider and horse. The teapot is marked on the bottom and offers in great used condition -- no chips, cracks, stains or dents. There is some evidence of wear on the bottom. Can't beat this for an entertaining way to drink tea.
