Brutalist Caged offers Mexican Amber Glass Low Ball Glasses by Filipe Derflingher Set of 2
offers Two handmade amber glass imprisoned or caged low ball glasses designed by Filipe Derflingher.
These brutalist glasses were made in the Mexico City workshop around the 1960's.
They are made by hand blowing molten glass from broken bottles into metal cylinders, so it bulges through the geometric openings cut into the metal.
They are in good vintage condition - patination on the metal is fabulous. There are bubbles in the glass and rough bases as is common with handblown glass. (See pictures for more details re: condition). One glass has some scratches near rim.
Derflingher's work is acclaimed by the design community and have been used in the trendiest of restaurants. This set will look amazing in your bar, mancave or she shed and will wow your guests.
