MEASUREMENTS: Approximately: Taller Duck 9" H x 5" W x 3" D. Other Duck 7 1/4" H x %'W x 3" D.
COLORS: Brass.
CONDITION: Nice vintage condition. Age appropriate wear consistent with age. They bear a patina and parts of the ducks are exhibiting some pink which is a result of improper cleaning of the brass. What occurred, the zinc has dissolved exposing the copper. The brass might be restored by polishing off the copper provided it's not too bad by using Brasso or Duraglit, but there is no guarantee.
We like the pink, it adds a different spin on the ducks, but if you feel inspired some elbow grease should get the gold brass back. Please view all images to avoid buyer's remorse. DESCRIPTION:
This pair of ducks are brass, made in India and date to the 70's - 80's. They are an adorable set, lots of texture on the bodies bringing out the detailing in their feathers, backs and tails and their sweet webbed feet are so realistic. The male with his bill pointed to the sky is calling and the female is stoic and quiet. I suppose the male is warding off predators.
They do have a beautiful weight, therefore not easy to topple. They could be used as a doorstopper.

We LOVE brass. Brass adds warmth and luster to a home and when its polished it really elevates your space. It's our favourite metal in the home. Brass is back in fashion, but for us, it really never left our hearts. We may have retired pieces from our collection, but we still have much displayed in our homes.
