offers Vermeil is gold plate over sterling (gold plate is gold over a base metal such as brass). This is 24K vermeil and is a thick plating and won't wear off like some can do. I have been using this source of vermeil beads for many years with no problem. The amethyst bead at the top is a button shape, there is turquoise just above the lapis rice shaped dangle (which moves with very little provocation - I just love a "hinge" on an earring to created movement (rather than "beads on a stick" and no movement.) The French hook ear wires are 14K gold fill.
