This antique pin was made circa 1900 during the great Art Nouveau Period! The Art Nouveau Era which is known for their unique style and as the transitioning period from Victorian, to the Deco Era of offers jewelry!

This beautiful pin is made out of gorgeous gold filled brass and features a gorgeous guilloche enamel design! Guilloche enameling was a process used by creating gorgeous etchings in the gold work using an engine turning machine. Engine turning machines date back to the 1600's as they were used on soft surfaces like wood to create gorgeous designs. During the 18th century with the sudden popularity of jewelry naturally these engine turning machines were turned to jewelry and were used often before the enameling process to create a gorgeous design under the enamel.

The enamel work int his piece is a gorgeous pink color and is beautifully set over the lovely etched gold design. This gives the gold design a lovely effect and gorgeous pink color that adds even more elegance and style to this stunning pin!
