THE WOOD
All signs are made of 100% natural solid wood. I select, cut and sand each piece of wood. Each piece is different with its own knots, rings and other “imperfections”. This may include small divots and cracks, especially around knots. Therefore, every piece offers its own unique beauty and character.
Because I use natural wood, knot “bleed through” can occasionally occur. This is when a brownish/yellowish discoloring happens through paint directly above a wood knot due to the resin that naturally occurs in knots. This occurrence is unpredictable and not reliably preventable. If “bleed through” does occur, then it just adds to the rustic nature of the piece!

STAIN
The wood is stained (front, back and sides). Because each piece of wood is truly unique, stain colors can vary slightly than what is seen in offers the stain example image and may come out slightly lighter or slightly darker than the example.

PAINT
The text is painted. You can see the brush strokes in the paint and the wood underneath will slightly show through in some places. All painted areas contain two coats of paint for the truest color and better longevity. All signs are made to order.
***It is up to YOU to pick a color combination you will enjoy. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder - only you know what colors you will like! If you want the paint colors to "pop", then select colors that will have a high contrast. If you prefer a subtle difference, then pick colors with a low contrast. If you need help, then send a message with the colors you are interested in and I'll do my best to find an example.
