Product code: New porcelain Victorian half doll/pincushion doll/dresser doll/boudoir doll dressed in silks shoe offers

offers A new porcelain Half doll sitting in a tiny shoe. A new collection of half dolls/dresser dolls sitting in elegant tiny shoes for discriminating collectors who are looking for something different.

. This little lady is approximately 5 inches tall while sitting in the shoe. She is dressed in white and eggshell silk brocade and silk pale apricot silk netting. Her bodice is china painted white and like her china painted beautiful little face, fired many times. I embellished her hat and dress and the bouquet she is holding with tiny hand sculpted porcelain roses, fired onto her figure.

She has dainty little sitting legs with gold china painted shoes. The back of her costume has a crystal embellished lace train, silk net bustle with a rhinestone ornament. The front of her brocade skirt has sewn on rhinestones and I embroidered tiny little roses on the hemline. The whole combination is a very beautiful and pleasing vision to grace a dresser or accent table. I have included a photo of her in a decorative setting and another showing all four Shoe Ladies in a little vignette. They are really fun to arrange with plants, lighting and little keepsakes. The cross stitched picture in the photo was made by my mother years ago. (she knew how much I loved shoes)

There are handmade silk ribbon roses on her hat . The shoe itself is covered with eggshell colored brocade and came with a pearl surrounded by tiny rhinestones embellishment. There are a few minute stains here and there from the glue the manufacturer used but it does in no way detract from the overall beauty of this stunning collectible art.

I have been collecting little shoes made from all kinds of materials. The shoe ladies are sitting in tiny hard material (resin?) covered with gorgeous embroidered brocades. These shoes have various decorations some appearing to be vintage. I have no idea how old these shoes are but do know they are not antique. I purchased most of them in antique and gift shops years ago. I have several more of this type shoe that my little ladies will be sitting in in the future. Plus porcelain, glass...you name it, I collected it!

She is poured with porcelain slip into a half doll mold. Each one is then fired, painted with china paints and fired again, often many times to get the beautiful one of a kind, realistic, face and color combinations on the bodice that makes my dolls unique .

Like all of my dolls, she is a one of a kind fine collectible artist doll, designed and dressed by me and is NOT for children. Each little face is as individual as are real people. She is approximately 5 .inches tall and is signed and dated.

She cannot be removed from the shoe

HOW SHE IS CONSTRUCTED
I start out making my sitting dolls by gluing a circle of silk and attach the bottom center to the bottom of the shoe's inside. Then I stuff the circle with quality poly foam and draw it up into a nearly closed top...like a ball or pouch. I then insert the half doll and sew her to the ''ball:, Then I attach the legs to the ball with sewn ribbons. The I make the skirts and embellish with lace, trims and roses.

I make my dolls with great care, as they are meant to be enjoyed for generations .

Only the doll in the shoe is included in this listing. The last photo is a vignette of all four Shoe Ladies I have completed so far. The picture in the frame is a cross stitched picture of an old boot my Mom made for me a long time ago. She knew how much I loved shoes! More Shoe Ladies will be coming along with regular half dolls, and half dolls sitting in antique china sugar bowls.

My Next Big Project is going to be making regular sized bed dolls/French Boudoir Dolls some dripping with antique laces!!! Stay tuned
