Philodendron Bob Cee, climber, NOT the imposter self-header, seller in USA propagating from offers pvt collection, rooted in semi hydro, 34" spread
I see many Bob Cee philodendron being sold that are self-heading plants. This is the climbing variety, the authentic Bob Cee. My original mother Bob Cee lives in my living area. Occasionally I have had to significantly prune her and start over with the top cutting as my display plant. The bottom 2 leaves, with a 34" tip to tip spread, were a cutting taken This summer. That cutting has produced 3 leaves each significantly sizing up, and another leaf is going to start unfurling within days. I do find climbers much more manageable than self headers since their footprint is much smaller. I think many of you also need climbing plants growing upwards rather than outward inside your home. However, in the correct conditions this plant will make a gorgeous landscape or patio plant. I chose to keep it in my indoor jungle though I do believe it would survive outside year round in my south Georgia landscape if kept safe from frost.
I am very particular about which plants are allowed into my home and subsequently into your home. A dear friend in Thailand insisted I would love the Bob Cee. He was correct, it has earned its spot in my top ten most favorite philodendron plants. The mother plant currently resides high above my head in my living room, because she easily covers the width of a double glass door, from tip to tip. The mother plant survived 3 months lost in covid mail from Thailand, turning up at my home during the heat of summer. It was one of two plants out of the twelve in the box that actually arrived with intact leaves. To my delight, the mother plant quickly recovered and started growing faster than I expected. So when I say this is a hardy philodendron, I mean for sure, this may be the MOST hardy of philodendron. It is easy to grow and will size up FAST for you, making you the envy of your plant friends. It will require something to climb for support.
Upon receipt it will be ready for the media of your choice. You will receive the exact plant in the photos. When you receive your plant, the roots will be packed in sphagnum moss for safe travels. It is already acclimated to my home, with humidity ranging on average from 40 to 65%, and temperatures usually at 74° and higher. You will not find plants more likely to thrive from the time they are unboxed than the plants coming from my shop. They are all propagated in my home, from my private collection. Every plant is showing visible healthy roots and active growth.
Be aware that by purchasing you are agreeing to and agreeing that you understand all information in this section.
I am a collector/seller, doing my part to make shopping for plants a happy, stress-free, joyous experience! I am blessed to have an older collection I was able to acquire by having friends all over our gorgeous planet. I am old to plants, and old to selling plants having worked in reptile/aquarium shops as the plant lady. I keep and propagate in my home. Please keep in mind that life happens, and at times there may be delays. If you need the plant urgently, or by a specific date for a special occasion, please make a note at purchase. Otherwise, I promise, I will get your plant shipped in painstakingly secure packaging at the earliest time I can do that will not risk undue stress to your plants. Packing boxes takes a lot of my time and is not something I rush through. I start prepping no later than the day before I plan to ship, work through the night, and into the shipping day.
You will find your plant is meticulously packaged, often using some odd or unusual "up-cycled" or recycled materials I save around my home for shipping. I also have a nearby store that occasionally gives me paper supplies when they are instructed to throw them away. It may look odd opening a box full of re-used bottles (from my home, washed, often with the bottle top cut away), smaller boxes, produce containers, building supplies, posterboard, folders, colored paper, and anything else I have or have been given to use for packing supplies. I also use recycled insulation consisting of huge sheets initially used to insulate pallets of chocolate and other products, that the retail store would normally dispose of in their dumpster, and scrap pieces from a contractor friend. I live in an extremely rural area where recycling opportunities are only available to those willing to drive their recyclables to another county. Therefore it pleases me to be able to recycle things while shipping my orders. Please do not think I have purchased any plastics or paper products (aside from the occasional shipping box) even if you see a tag purely for the purpose of shipping. It is a small contribution to the environment, but it pleases me and makes my parents smile down from heaven. I do love tape, and use lots of it. Be prepared and go slowly when unpacking.
Please remember, this is a one woman operation. I am but one person. I have a lot of beautiful plants to offer, and my stock plant numbers are increasing every day through propagation. But, I am not Amazon. I can not ship as quickly as Amazon can. Sometimes I will reply to messages immediately, but if I am not focused on replying to messages I will wait for a time that will allow me to reply with a thorough and warm response. If you want "rare and uncommon," interesting, healthy, beautiful, and amazing plants, shipped with overly meticulous care, using recycled/up-cycled products, access to my customer service/knowledge obtained from years of hands-on houseplant growth, then give me a try. Be patient and trust that I am doing a great job on a gorgeous plant for you. You will not be forgotten. I always ship the actual plant shown in the listing unless we have discussed and agreed to a different plant. If I realize I have a better looking plant I will give you the choice to swap. I provide a huge amount of individual care that larger sellers simply cannot do.
If you have bought the plant for a special occasion, please inform me and I will make arrangements to get your order there by a specific time. I also have beautiful gift wrap in a variety of themes. I tie beautiful professional quality bows. I have plant themed note cards. I can even include other options like a terracotta or white pot, a basic macrame hanger (made by me), and I can paint things like monograms onto pots by request. I am not a great artist, but I can write beautiful calligraphy. I can include a bag of my garage-mixed from scratch potting soils, specially blended for a specific plant, from many top quality ingredients that are all stored and kept sealed enabling them to be as pest free as possible. I am phasing out plants rooted in soil due to the potential of pests stowing away, among other reasons. If you are interested in any or all of those gift options, for the recipient or simply to make your new plant as easy, beautiful, and stress free as possible, simply ask. You can make your selections to fit your needs.
You can message me any time, day or night. I keep odd hours and may be available regardless of the time. I will remember you, and be happy to help you. I am extremely honest about my experiences with plants and plant related things. I answer based on what I personally have experienced, never based on information circulated on the internet, hearsay, or what I think someone wants to hear.
All sales are final. Please research these plants in advance if you are new to them. If something horrible happens during shipping, I am a reasonable human who will reach an agreement with you so you are not at an absolute loss. I also insure every single box, I just choose to bury that info here so scammers are further discouraged. If you have a problem, please take photos and contact me immediately! Keep the packaging and box, as the USPS will require photos of it for claims. No exceptions. I must have immediate photos in order to facilitate claims. In some instances you may be asked to return the plant. It may be damaged, but I can almost always find the life in every node. If I find it has been cut, then you have wasted your money shipping it back to me. You have wasted our time and you will not receive any compensation, of any sort, and you will not be permitted to place future orders. You will not be pleased with the outcome if attempting a scam. I often count nodes and photograph plants at shipping, recording the numbers in my journal. Plus, I know my plants. I know shipping. And I have dealt with seriously gross scammers. If you fall into that category,, please leave me alone. You are not going to gain from my suffering. I will not be manipulated with weird feedback, you will be shut down and karma can really hurt sometimes.
However, if you have a legitimate problem, I can not fix it or try to help if I do not know about it. Again, if you do not notify me and photograph your situation, I can not help you.
Everything ships priority mail. I will go to priority express upon request and an upcharge. I pack everything with much love and care, and am making it clear right now I am not responsible for damages incurred during shipping. I will decide on a case by case basis of what the appropriate outcome will be. Due to my location, my entire plant collection was shipped to me. I know what works, what doesn't, and that it is extremely unlikely any problem will arise.
I reserve the right to refuse to sell to anyone, at any time. In the case you are on my "no sell" list, you will be refunded at my earliest opportunity.
I can help with styling plants, lighting, pest prevention and treatment, keeping pets with plants, and many many other questions or issues you may have. I want you and my plants to succeed.
If you have wishlist plants, please inquire since I often have them right here, ready to go. I limit the number of listings at any one time. Many of my most sought after plants never get listed instead being purchased on request of one of my many repeat customers/plant friends. If you ask offers, then you get the first option to buy, and I am happy to bundle plants in one box and will offer you a small discount. I may also offer you a chance to purchase some things as an add-on due to their relatively low cost. If I do not mention add-on deals, feel free to ask. Occasionally I have "scratch and dent" plants, "mystery" plants with no labels, etc that are available by request.
I have aroids (especially philodendron), hoyas, succulents (by request as add-ons), and various terrarium plants. My collection is quite respectable. I only grow and sell what I truly enjoy and find easy in home conditions. I constantly encourage everyone to only grow what truly brings joy to your life. And if you make a mistake, go easy on yourself. It has happened to everyone enjoying a hobby in our crazy world. Learn from it, forgive yourself, and enjoy the happiness these plants bring to those of us who love them.
