Young Malian artists make this chestnut-colored bogolan (mudcloth) scarfs with offers expresso brown and white stripes resembling "pirogues," West African canoes. This original textile is hand-dyed Helvetica-certified 100% organic cotton.
The scarf is 15.5 inches wide and 76 inches long, with 1.5 additional inches of fringe at either end. Total length including fringe is 79 inches. Hand-wash in cold water and line dry.

These scarves are born out of the traditional practice of dyeing mudcloth, or bogolan. Each one is a new take on Mali's textile heritage.
