Goldtone Chinese Brass Notions Box offers with Repousse Characters and a Hinged Lid

This intricately patterned repousse brass box was made in China probably in the 1920's. The brass finish has the appearance of gold gilt. The box measures approximately 6 1/2 inches long, 4 3/4 inches wide and 1 1/2 inches tall including 1/4 inch feet. The interior is unlined but I did put a blue paper liner on the bottom. The box is in very good condition with a few small dark spots on the finish that would probably polish away but I would be afraid to change the beautiful color so offers I only use a damp cloth to clean it.
