A very rustic piece! you can see the surface is very nubby, unevenly woven ~ lovely cotton ties on the surface telling me that the weaver was just learner her skill! A new weaver probably ~*~ This bolt of beautiful homespun European linen dates from the mid to late 1800's ~ RARE and fabulous GREEN stripes!! A once in a lifetime find, for sure! ~*~ ~ This bolt has a lovely heavy, floppy and textural ~There are wonderful natural striations in this bolt that run both the length and width ~ I LOVE this fabric ~ Lovely plain weave. Originally this fabric would have been for household use for sheeting or offers clothing fabric. This bolt is ideal for window treatments, table runners, pillows, upholstery etc! Machine washable over and over and over ~*~ ~ Wonderfully high quality. I love knowing these linens were grown without the use of pesticides, just lovely natural fabric. ~*~ *~ ( EL Y68 )
