Rare Antique Haynes Pottery American Greek Relief Vase

Made by Haynes Pottery, Baltimore, Maryland (1875-early 1900s), this beautiful hand painted piece shows some scenes from life in Greece... with Greek landscapes in the backgrounds.

Molded in relief and beautifully hand painted, it possesses a strong French influence in its design of heavy gilting and the fleur-de lis pattern that is used as its borders. It also has angular handles.

There are no chips or cracks, the gilt is in excellent condition, there is heavy crazing throughout the piece (please look closely at all photos).
