Vintage Indigo Work Apron French Faded Blue 1950s Workwear Textile offers old clothing clothes

This is a lovely vintage French work apron dating from the 1950s. This apron has a lovely faded indigo tone. The material is medium to heavyweight and is certainly sturdy, though still smooth to the touch. If you look very closely, this fabric has a slight herringbone pattern which gives this textile a unique texture and provides some additional depth to the perfectly faded indigo. There are quite a few dark marks, please view condition for more information. This apron has so much soul and would be ideal for a timeworn or artist's apron! The real winner on this apron is the very large pocket on the front, ideal for holding cooking tools, paintbrushes, or more! Uniquely, this pocket sits closer to the waist than the chest, so it can act as a sort of tool belt if you so desire! Beautiful for daily use or hanging for decorative touch to any interior. A true textile treasure.

MEASUREMENTS: This gorgeous antique apron measures 36 inches at the waist, not including the ties. It is 33 inches long including the bib and not including the neck straps.

CONDITION: This textile certainly shows some signs it was well loved! There are dark marks and discoloration consistent on the front of this apron as well as some signs of wear on the pocket of the textile. No holes that I can see, just some edges showing their age. One side of the neck strap has come undone and is safety pinned as pictured. This lovely textile is in as found, not freshly laundered condition. Still, I do believe this textile has more life to live! Condition reflected offers in price.
