This print was made from an etched copper plate through intaglio techniques of acid etching and aquatint. Each print is an original, hand-pulled from the plate. This is a limited edition of 66 prints. All prints are numbered and signed by the artist. Paper size is 22" x 15" and plate size is 20" x 13"

Summer on the West coast was like none I've ever experienced before...excessive heat waves for weeks on end, smoke so thick and toxic it was hazerdous to even breathe, terrifying water shortages and power outages. Contributing factors to drought, desertification, soil erosion, and deforestation have undoubtedly been accelerated by human hands and the effects are drastically increasing and unavoidable. Proper fire mitigation and fire ecology is essential. Fire is not the enemy - we are. Ecofacism places blame on individuals but big industry ultimately make the largest impact, so if you are able, don't support / fund them. There are countless environmental issues that need our attention and so much more I offers could say but wildfires are burning in me these days more than ever. Who knows if making art will really inspire change but hell, it's better than doing nothing. Threats are imminent ~ change is essential
